The estimate for the work to be done on my 1Y, (1.9 diesel), from my original machinist was $350. This would include: bore and fit of block to 0.020" over, rebuild head, (I have two loose chambers), recond. the rods, and clean and polish the crank. All the preliminary work like the miking and checking is included. I don't think you can do a thorough rebuild for less than you can buy one.
