If you follow the speedo cable from it's source, which is the front driver's wheel. It will travel to a small, plastic box on the frame under the driver's footwell. On that box (it is the same box as A2 Golfs/Jettas BTW) there is a button that you can push with a key or a thin pen. This will reset the counter.
