Volks,

Hi Vanagon, water cooled types. I have been a type2 list member for about four years with a 71 westie ,(now for sale). But we just got an 83 with only 84,000 mi and *no* rust whatsoever, never winter driven.

Interior is complete and functional except there is only one table. Should there be another?

The add-a-room is present and complete except for one pole that needs welding.

We are paying CDN$7500 (about US$5000) for it. Tell me I did the right thing. That wasn't too much right? Anyway it is really a lovely van.

The engine leaks oil from somewhere along the centreline towards the back. Would this be from the oilpump cover? Or is there some other obvious place to check? This engine is new to me so please forgive my ignorance.

No signs of coolant leaks from the head gaskets, or anywhere else.

Why can't we just put silicone sealer on the head gasket like we do with american engines, to prevent this problem??
