I have an 84 weekender. The alternator has the following sticker: AH0-120-469-631-636 N1->14v 34/90A 025 903 023C You can see by the second line that it is 90 amps. But if there is no sticker you may have to find a stamped in number that cooresponds to the part #. Good luck, correct me if wrong- which i'm sure someone will! -Matthew 84 weekender On Mon, 16 Aug 1999, Peter Zendzian wrote: > How can you tell the difference between an 60 and 90 amp Bosch alternator? I have an alternator that I got out of my Audi 5000 and the book said that it was either 60 or 90 amps. Any ideas out there? > > Pete > peters@hawaii.rr.com <mailto:peters@hawaii.rr.com> > 83.5 Vanagon > > |
