You know, I have to agree. In Europe there are many competing poptop campers out there, including not just VW vans but Ford Transits, Pugeots, Mercedes vans, etc., converted by a multitude of companies. The consumer gets a choice. Here, we've had mainly a choice of one, save a few small companies like Country Homes who went their own way and mostly went out of business eventually. Let's face it, a Eurovan Winnie is not for everyone, and VW has not exactly gone out of their way to keep the poptop camper alive in the U.S. Choice is a good thing. I personally wouldn't buy one of these, but I wouldn't scowl at it if I saw it on the road either.
