Pros...

If it runs like Mark's, great!

Macho manly torque.

Revs to 6000.

Pulls a 10% grade in creeper at idle with 205x75-15 tires.

Claims 20MPG

looks kewl

you can find parts at the $$$AUDI$$$ dealer or your favorite AUDI salvage provider.

Won't leak coolant at the head gasket.

Claims top speed >85MPH.

Cons....5 spark plugs. Ever try to buy thirteen eggs?

Awful fuel economy 13MPG @65MPH on flat ground using RON92

2.2l motor only qualifies for 87 and earlier and successful 2.3l conversions are rare.

Pings at >4000RPM using RON92 with retarded timing.

Off road fording is reduced to 8 inches.

Off road dust resistance is reduced.

Clearance is reduced.

Leaks oil from the PCV system.

Self disassembling custom exhaust system.

Won't pass smog.

Installation workmanship?... Eh?

Support via wiring diagrams, tips and tricks for AUDI maintenance,

Nutting, nowhere, nada.

No warranty. You got it. You fix it.

Bunkies you are on your own with this conversion so count on high maintenance costs.
