I have been using an infant seat in the back of my 85 Vanagon since March, with no problems, it should snug down without any problem, I would think.

BTW, are you going to install the infant seat in the jump seat? If you are using an infant seat similar to what we have (evenflo), the seat must be positioned so that the infant is facing the back of the van.

BTW, does anyone know if they make toddler seats that can be used in the jump seats in a van? We bought a 99 Eurovan (neither the vanagon or Westy have AC), and I need to find this out soon, since our son will (very) shortly be outgrowing the infant seat setup that we have.
