Subject: Sunroof questions

Hello I love the sunroof on my new 84 GL. It also gets a lot of attention due to it's impressive size. It, however, is in need of some attention. There is no deflector. The seal around the roof line is badly worn and in need or replacement. There is no seal around the lip of the sliding section.

My questions are: Is there deflector available that fits this mammoth sunroof? The roof liner behind the sunroof "balloons" if I drive fast with the sunroof open. Will the deflector address this and reduce the turbulence so I could drive with the sunroof open on the highway?

Is the the perimeter seal available for a reasonable cost?

Is there a seal or gasket for the lip of the sliding section? If so what is involved in replacing the the sliding section seal?

Any(simple)suggestions on cleaning/lubing the mechanism? Type of lube/where to apply etc.)

Was there ever an electric option for the sunroof or has anyone successfully motorized this beast? (it takes about 40 turns to open and close)

Any and all responses are appreciated!

Gary
