Hi there ,

The strait 6 cyl. Diesel is build in the big brother of the Vanagon it called LT ( Last Träger) .I never saw this Vehicle here in the USA. Also the Volve carried this engine for a couple of years. This engine generation ,parallel to the 5 cyl diesel engine , is realy good and build for tough work. But for an inplant in the Vanagon to expensive and with to much changes on the chassic.

If you need to stay with DIESEL go for the TDI it is the best choise.

BTW: I'm the US Branch from Winkler Germany and will be in Germany from 08/23 untill 09/03.If you need more info. regarding the TDI Conversion I can send ya catalog for US$ 20.

Sincerely Detlev Vanagon Projekt 925 606 8797
