First, no offence intended to our height challenged bretheren.

But, seat belts across the jugular is not a desired or recommended use of seat belts. The condition can lead to sudden separation of ones head from ones body. While this may have been all the rage in Henry the Eighths (sp) time, tis not a desirable effect in the 90's.

SO. (Now here's where you want to pay attention) Go out to your van, find your front shoulder belt UPPER mount point.

Run your finger down about four (4) inches, you will either find a plug like on SyncroBeast, or, under the fabric, a hole.

Want to guess what that is?? yep, a lower upper shoulder strap mount. Switch the plug with the belt mount and you are set with a lower shoulder belt mount by about four inches.

this is either very clever engineering by our favorit black forest elves, or the mount point for the much desired Carat rear facing jump seats. It's been so long since I stripped my Carat that I rolled, that I don't recall what the belt system was on the jump seats.

Cool.... huh???

****SNIP***** Re: Seat Belts. I'm short. Veeerrry short. This seat belt is killing me. I see lots of posts about adding seat belts to the rear in older vans, but can you replace the seat belt with something more comfortable? In addition to wrapping around my jugular, mine just keeps squeezing and squeezing till I'm ready to yell uncle.

I've searched the archives and can't find relevant stuff. Anybody got suggestions?
