Hi Folks,

I was nosing through a copy of *Getaway Magazine* from Africa (www.getawaytoday.com) and the classified adds are loaded with really, really cool trailers (the kind you see the Bush Tucker man dragging behind his Rover), camping gadgets tents and *New Vanagon Campers*.

Along with the campers are accessory manufacturers too, the site below had a picture (in the magazine) showing their product bolted to one of those SA Vanagons.

http://www.backrack.co.za/backrack.htm

Basically this is a spare wheel carrier that was attached to one of those SA Vanagon hitches (like Ron Salmon's ?), it places the spare wheel in the center of the rear hatch and it just drops down flat to allow you to open the rear hatch, very cool!!

Now, in any US Jeep/4x4 magazine there are many equally cool, gas can holders, jamboree racks, bike carriers etc that attach to the rear mounted spare on the Jeep. Could be adapted, ideas........

Check this gizmo out and let us have your thoughts!

Regards, Chris Gibbs 88 Westie
