If you have a ten-slot castle nut, use the higher torque value. If you have a six-slot castle nut, throw it away, get a ten-slot one, and use the higher torque value.

Apparently they were having trouble with stripping the splines on the hubs, hence the change. My '91 Bentley is plastered with warnings to only use the ten-slot nut.
