As a recent first time Vanagon owner, I'd like to express my appreciation
for this list. When I think of the time (and blood!) it cost me to
accumulate hard fought knowledge for other automotive types, the information
base here and in the archives is fantastic.

Now... here's my problem. In troubleshooting my fuel gauge, I want to locate
the ground connection for the sender ('86 Syncro). According to Bentley it's
found on the "left front crossmember". Anybody any idea where this is? It
appears from the schematics that the '86 location is different from all
other years. Any help appreciated, I'm tired of crawling around on my back!
