Here in Europe, Black vs. Chrome isn't an issue of early vs. late, rather of what
trim level your Caravelle is. The Cs (like mine) had black strips, no chrome around
windows and black bumpers, while the CLs and GLs had chrome strips, chrome around
the windows, and chrome bumpers. Of course, three were many other differences, but
these were the major exterior differences.
