I have an 83.5. If it is on the same place mine is you will find it in the middle of the coolant hose that runs over the top of the engine. It should look like a small, short tube with a plastic cap "growing" out of the large hose. If 86's are different it should still be in about the same place. Since it is supposed to bleed air from the coolant system it will be on a high point where the air gathers. If mounted low it would bleed coolant when opened.
