Hi, I'm originally from South Carolina, and my In-Laws presently live slightly West of Columbia. I'll keep an eye out for you when we visit in September. One thing you will notice is the extreme lack of any kind of VW's down there, especially Vanagons. However, the gas is dirt cheap -- a lot cheaper than central NC! There are some great U-Pull-it junkyards up I-20 northeast of Fort Jackson. However, they are usually only divided into two sections: Ford and GM. >Well, I finally made it down to South Carolina from Minnesota over last weekend. I'll be in the Columbia area, Fort Jackson actually, for the next six weeks. If you see a gold Vanagon GL Syncro around with Minnesota plates and the ORIGINAL Vanagon list (vanagon@lenti.umn.edu) sticker, it's me! > >Brad Spear >'72 Westy (Back home in Minnesota) >'87 Syncro GL (Leaving oil on the streets and higways of SC) > >P.S. >Any good bus parts lots around here? |
