Subject: Vanagon Diesel Parts and Motor FS $800
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I had decided to put a I-4 engine into my '85 Vanagon. However I have changed my mind and I am putting a waterboxer back in there (just cheaper and I can't spare the time right now for the conversion). So I have a complete Diesel Vanagon setup to sell with a new clutch with most of the stuff already mounted onto a 1.8l Scirocco engine (JH) that has 100k miles on it and was reportedly running well before I started the conversion. So here is what I want to do. You can have everything and the engine for $800. If I have to take the stuff off of the engine (which I don't want to do) it will be $700. I will include the bellhousing and input shaft you need to convert your waterboxer tranny over to use it in the conversion. The engine was a good A/C compressor on it, a OK condition alternator (needs voltage reg), wiring harness, distributor, computer, fuel injection setup with fuel distributor, intake, and exhaust manifold (you can have the diesel one and the Jetta one that I bought to replace it). I also have the diesel starter, the water hoses, the engine carriers and motor mounts, oil pan, pick tube (already installed on engine) pretty much every thing you need to do this conversion. All of this will go for $800. I can put this on a palate and ship it if you want (you pay shipping) or you can come here to southern NJ and pick this stuff up.
