I know in NYS it is illegal to have anything covering your plate.  Even
if it is a clear cover.  You may not get pulled over for this, but
during the Woodstock '99 time frame here in NY, the troopers were eyeing
me very curiously.  They usually left me alone after seeing my DOD
stickers.
