Since you seem to be making a habit of being rear-ended you might take an idea from the Yellow Cab Company of South Burlington, Vt. where I drove a cab back in the early 70's. Some of the older cabs had railroad ties for bumpers! A pair of these front and back along with, say, five or six small paintings of cars on your rear hatch to show the guy behind you that you are an "ace" should solve your tailgater problem. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com]On Behalf Of EMZ Sent: Friday, August 27, 1999 10:20 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Tail lights?
Strange you should mension being hit in the rear. I was just hit in the rear for the second time last Sat. night. $1300 damage. I'm going to fix the next #$%#^$%^ that hits me good. I'm putting a great big trailer hitch on the back with a tung that sticks out real far. This will make sure they get more damage then me! I can't stand people who tailgate, this is exactly what caused this crash. Eric 86-VW4x4 vw4x4@fyi.net 72-240z Pittsburgh, PA USA 1936-Chrysler
