Doug (and anyone else interested in camping in VT at either state or private campgrounds), Check out http://www.campvermont.com/ What part of Vermont are you considering? My wife and I have camped three times recently in VT. The most secluded of the sites we stayed at was Greenwood Lodge and Campsites (#28 on the southern VT map), near Bennington. Some sites were in grassy, open areas, some in the woods. If you ask for and get a woodsy site (they have a few with electricity, I believe), you'll be likely be able to see that you have neighbors, but you might not be able to see what they're up to. Bennington's pretty cool, too. I advise ordering online the printed version of this guide and putting it in your Van: http://www.campvermont.com/images/navigation/mi/mi_guide.gif Best of luck...and congrats! -George 83.5 Westy, Fitchburg, MA p.s. re: your second q.: Van illustration #1.
