These Hitches are usually rated for 1100 pounds. If you keep the weight reasonable and you do not use the hitch to carry luggage carriers or bike racks, you'll have no problem. Luggage racks, boxes, and bike racks will break the tow hooks off. Been there. done that. That is why I designed the hitch I sell in the first place. Let me know if you would like some information.
