Greetings from Seattle: Thanks to all who have responded. Much appreciate the insights from this huge pool of experience. As I too often do, I neglected an important detail in my original message. We presently have a Diesel Westy and wish to retain the Diesel, but convert to a 1.9ltr Diesel or TD or even a TDI. We don't wish to leave the diesel ranks yet. Has anyone succesfully done such conversions and where does one obtain engine or kit to do so at a reasonable cost. I am aware that Eurospec advertises such a conversion but have not seen any postings about their costly conversion completed.

Sorry about the mixup and thanks again,

Edward Lowe 82 diesel Westy 85 Golf diesel 92 Cabrio
