Many thanks to David Patterson for responding to my quandry about what type of engine to put in my collection of 1.9 Wasserboxers. He strongly recommends the 2.2 Subaru Legacy, installed with parts from KEP. He also took time to answer numerous questions off list. I am deeply appreciative.

I'm also almost convinced that he is right. Does anyone else have experience with this swap. I'd love to hear how others got along.

I'd still like to know where I might find a single cab Vanagon body. Do they exist in Mexico? David Marshall tells me they are rare in Canada, and I understand they were never imported in the US.
