Have you changed the fuel filter next to the pump? After dropping my
fuel tank, my fuel pump buzzed like a toy chainsaw 'til I changed the
filter. You can get a cheap filter almost anywhere (as I did), but I
recommend the metal canister type--see vanagain.com or busdepot.com
or--perish the thought--your VW dealer.
