Subject: Thermostat Hose
Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi list,

While puttering around with the Temp Sensor II on my 87 Syncro, I noticed that a hose was disconnected from thermostat housing (top). It looks like the hose is supposed to connect to the valve that is just below and left of the Breather Valve on the housing. My valve has been broken off and a screw has been placed in the bottom end of the hose.

Can someone tell me what the purpose of this hose is? Could the broken, unsealed valve on the housing be causing me any performance related problems?

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

87 Syncro Westie
