Seen it, and driven it. It is really a Hilux, with VW badges. Why, you might
ask? Well, Toyota wanted to have the car produced somewhere in Europe, and VW
didnt have any pickup in that class, it filled the gap between the Caddy and
Transporter. It wa produced at the Hannover plant, as both VW and Toyota. The
German production was discontinued in 1996.

Did you know that the Quantum sedan was produced in Japan in the 80s, by none
other than Nissan. I am not sure if it had VW or Nissan badges, it was called
the Santana, just like in Europe, South America, and China.
