Subject: Bugs out, and other annoyances
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I just returned from a trip to Maryland's Lower Bay, but the bugs almost ruined the experience. Dozens (hundreds? thousands?) of tiny no-see-ums poured through the netting of the Westfalia tent at night. We were lathered with you-name-it bug repellents, but no relief. Early-morning we loaded canoe and gear, and drove for an hour, blowing the bugs out the windows (was this a Bug Out?). We then settled in the park's boat launch parking lot, because it was open enough for a little breeze, which kept the swarms to a minimum. Now my question: What can I do to keep the little boogers out? We keep door openings/closings to a minimum. Summer on the Chesapeake is warm, so ventilation is a must. I avoid any chemicals on the screens, not wanting to soften, stain or destroy the plastic. Are there safe anti-bug alternatives suitable for the interior of the van?

Also, I need: 1. chrome-like plastic trim for passenger side front door post 2. a pair of window crank handles - brown 3. which K-Mart dash console is supposed to fit so well? 4. to replace the little plastic guides or rollers on the roof vent crank arms

Thanks, Kevin 84 Westfalia (The Project)
