Yep! Mine did that. The PO hadn't plugged in the plastic clip properly
onto the back of the speedo. The cable was hanging at an angle to the
gauge & was causing that annoying flutter (and a clicky noise).


You might also want to check the cable for sharp bends - this can
cause a similar symptom ...
