The accelerator cable on the '84GL automatic I recently purchased was too
loose and this caused the sticky problem mentioned plus it wouldn't
kickdown. I adjusted the cable and now it accelerates smooth and the tranny
kicks down properly.


What a difference!

Can any listees give me advice on how to smooth out my throttle cable on my
87GL? Do I need new parts or what? When I'm cruising along and if I want to
accelerate just a little, the pedal sticks, then it jumps. It makes for
jumpy driving :) Feels like something is binding.
