Subject:      Defeating Photo Radar "tricks"

Hi Listees:


The secret to defeating photo radar is to illuminate the license plate so
brightly that the photo is overexposed.


Somewhere, I read about someone who did this with halogen bulbs, and it
worked.(- perhaps the bulb was aimed away from the plate, not sure.)


If it were me, I would connect the light circuit to a radar detector, so
that the lamps are triggered on when the radar detector gets a positive
signal.


Thankfully, we don't have photoradar in Manitoba (yet).


For those who have it, you may wish to experiment by taking pictures of your
van with the plates illuminated as per this post - and see if the plates are
legible in the photo.
