Tailgaters are dangerous, too. I am representing a family of four that was rear-ended by a Tyson Foods 18 wheeler on a freeway exit ramp. The dad got hurt and needed surgery on his shoulder and missed 8 months of work...which put a big strain on the marriage....and two years later they are still dealing with this. Tyson offered them a whopping $3,000. Had they been half way reasonable, there never would have been a lawsuit. Wait till the jury hears the story...you know...those blinding lights bearing down on you...then crunch! I am sure we will get justice. Moral...tailgaters are more than an annoyance, they can ruin you life.
