Subject: Westy Middle Seat help
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Last weekend I picked up a primo middle seat with tracks from Raul (thanks). Although Reinhardt is out of service right now, I haven't given up on him and we will need a few extra seats once we solve our engine problems and begin camping again.

Wouldn't you know it, today I picked up a primo Jumpseat from an '86 Westy that will slide in on the same tracks! I plan to use each at different times, probably keeping the jump seat in most of the time and the regular middle seat only when all six of us are using the van.

Has anyone made this installation of middle seats on their Westy? I pulled the metal sill off next to the sliding door and it appears the carpet is tacked down to a veneer of some sort, which is in turn tacked to wood. I didn't have a lot of time and I was hesitant to start ripping up good looking carpet without at least the wisdom of this list. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Maynard '82 Westy Diesel "Reinhardt" '93 EV GL "Klinger"
