Sorry, you need to pull the wheel AND use a puller to remove the lock housing. After that it is easy and the part is cheap from the dealer.

Both the Bentley and the Haynes explain this procedure, and it would be worth your getting the Haynes to take to an independent mechanic and have him do it. It took me about a half an hour to do with the right tools I just did it two weeks ago).

It shouldn't cost more than $60 to $80 plus the part, which is about $15.
