Tonight at the local Walmart (Millville, NJ) we pulled into the parking lot and saw a late model, burgandy Vanagon GL that basically looked like a mirror image of our own '91 burgandy Carat Vanagon. My wife was driving and thought it was a great joke to park right next to the other van. I secretly hoped that we could meet the owners of the other van.

Well I got my wish. When we finally came out of the store my wife said, "Somebody is in our van!" I told that no one was in there and that she was paranoid. Then this lady and her daughter came walking toward the store and asked us if that was our van. We said yes and the daughter held out my wife's keys to her! Apparently my wife was so distracted by the other van that she forgot and left the keys in the ignition (something she has never done before). The lady and her daughter noticed the keys because they were the owners of the other Vanagon and were checking our van out (of course:).

So we met some more nice Vanagon folks who were going to bring the keys into the store and have us paged (It was a nice thing to do). So if you are list members then I say "Thanks" again! It just seems that driving a Vanagon creates a brotherhood of folks that like to watch out for and help each other. I am happy to be a part of it. I'm sure that Saturn owners experience the same thing (hee, hee, hee...). Ken Wilford Van-Again John 3:16
