What in the world would you want to do this for? Anyway keep the old one. Your VW dealer has an update for the switch so it can be adjusted properly. It includes a new switch, cam and ??I can't remember ..........somthing small, (not important), but after you install the thing the switch will work 100 % better. OH! BTW there is a cover that goes over the thing, also, to keep dirt out. Make sure you have this if you plain on any real off roading.
