Hi!


Over the weekend I noticed a little clicking sound coming from the
direction of my instrument panel.  This morning's drive to work was a mix
of the comical and annoying.  The spedometer is now screaming quite loudly.
 The pitch and volume both go up as speed is increased.


I've got some tools in the Vanagon.  I'm hoping that I can disconnect the
Speedometer cable in a few minutes during lunch.  Which end of the cable
would be easiest to get at?  Since I haven't looked at it I don't know
what's broken.  Anyone with a similar experience want to tell me what they
found?


This is on an 86 Syncro Vanagon.
