Subject: (Re)Introduction - Returning to the List after absence
Content-type: text/plain

This is Harvey Chao - I had been on the list about for a few years until about a year ago and had dropped off because things were just too busy. My family has owned a '82 white 7 passenger plain basic diesel Vanagon L since new.

I have come back, primarily because it is perhaps, sadly, time to begin considering parting with the '82 Diesel Vanagon. The message below was the first message I received this morning as I re-subscribed, and it does, to some extent, answer the question I had - - which was, "Is any one interested in diesel Vanagons after their absence for so long?" Guess the answer is yes to some degree.

I live in Santa Clara CA. and if anyone is looking to provide a home for a van that has been exceedingly economical to run and faithful in it's service - let me know, you may push us over the edge to allow it to seek a new home. We have had it since new, it is in reasonably good shape for it's years, is on it's second engine, and is currently running well. with about 183K miles on it.
