Hello out there,

Can anyone out there in Vanagon land tell me if I need to pull the steering wheel etc. to replace the electric part of the ignition switch on a 1981 Vanagon. If the answer is no-and I certainly hope it is-please tell me the secret.

I just got the Westy and boy do I love it. 1981 with auto and air and at a good price. Of course there are the usual little thing that need to be repaired and the ignition switch is the first.

Thanks for your help.

Ron Hill Macon Georgia 81 "Westy to there"
