Here in Europe, The Syncros were also sold with an 1,9 carbed engine, with 78 hp. It also was available with a 70 hp TD. There is enough power in these engines to drive the car, but not enough to satisfy power-hungry drivers.

The 1986-up 1,9 here in Europe was, of course, modified in all the same manners as the 2,1 over the 1,9 was in 1985/86. One could almost call them 1st and 2nd generation wbx engines.

Btw, the 1,9/78hp Syncro had a 0-60 mph time of 24,7 sec's, compared to 17,2 sec's for the 2,1/112hp which I have. Expect the 2,1/95hp to be somewhere in the middle. All of them were 7- or 8-seaters. PerL 87 Syncro 112i (plenty power)
