As a result of my 84 westy goetting the top crushed up in July I'm in the market for a new westy. (I'll probably sell the old one if things get worked out with the insurance company-- long story) Anyway my wife likes the idea of finding a mint westy syncro and going to get it. Two questions: 1. Am I just looking at a lot of mechanical headaches and expense by moving to the syncro? We do like to get on some pretty iffy roads! 2. Has anyone dealt with J&R VW Vans of Reno Nevada? They have an 89 or 90 westy syncro with new AVP engine etc. 3. O.K. ...one more question will a westy syncro fit into your standard garage? I know they are taller but can't find the measurement. Thanks in advance and thanks for those on the list who replied to my crushed westy plight back in July! Bob 84 westy wolfsburg with smashed top! |
