My brother was trying to take the radiator out of our '87 Syncro Westy weekender a while back and unconsciously almost killed himself!!! I was late and he was tired so he did not no notice he was taking off a pressure coupling. By the time he noticed it came off and sprayed R12 freon all over his FACE!! I thought I was going to have to take him to the hospital! But we flushed his eyes and face with water for about 30 min. and he said he felt fine the next day. He got the hose back on before it was completely discharged but ALLOT leaked out! My question is how may pound system is it and how much $ will it cost to recharge, how hard is it to do it your self? I have access to R12. The bad thing is it worked GREAT before this and did not leak or need a recharge. We learned never to do any physical labor when tired! Joel |
