Folks, Well, It's been 5 months since my '87 unexpectedly (is there another way?) caught on fire in my local Taco Bell parking lot and went to the VW yard in the sky. Since that day I've been putting my ducks in a row in order to buy another. Well, this weekend it happened- I bought a '90 GL!! It's sweet. Low miles, nicely kept and seems to be mechanicaly(sp?) sound. The P.O. kept all receipts-including head replacement! Anyway, upon my first fill up, I discovered an overflow leak. I should say flood. I probably lost half a gallon. Now, ever since then (2 days) I smell gas when I shut it down and get out. First, how do I fix the overflow leak, and second why am I smelling gas? I am a little nervous given that the fuel lines were the cause of my last lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all in advance and it's nice to be back. I hope nobody minds, but I've been lurking this whole time-keeping up and helping out. later Tony '90 GL :-) -- ___________________________________________________________ COGBOX is a flex-service advertising agency with an emphasis on branding rap sheet- name Tony DeMille alias FlyWheel biz COGBOX how to track me down- ph 801 531 9909 fx 801 531 9949 web www.cogbox.com use the force or something |
