To my query about Subaru swaps, so far all I've gotten is a couple of strong defenses of the waterboxer. The few 2.1s I've driven did seem to have adequate power. What's involved in putting one where a 1.9 once lived? What's involved in really sealing those heads during a major rebuild? What does a good 2.1 core cost? I have I have three 1.9 vans that I want to repower, and I want to do the same thing to all of them over the next couple of years. I'd like to drive them a long time. Advise me.
