Volks -

I had to have my AC condensor welded earlier this summer, and the system re-charged. We found that once the refrigerant leaks out, it doesn't work so well.

Last weekend I took a trip in 90+ weather, and was grateful that the weld is holding, because I'm still getting cold air out of the vents. Like other people have commented though, it still gets pretty warm up front when the sun is coming in the windows. I'm nervous about running on speed 4 too often, because of the discussions about hot wires. Besides, 3 is loud enough!

On speed 3 the back of my head feels the breeze, but the cool air from the cabin doesn't seem to get much past there. There have been a couple of posts on mounting a 12v fan to circulate the air most efficiently, so I stopped in West Marine in Spokane to look at their selection.

The single speed fans looked OK, but I liked the 3-speed model better, except for the $55 price!

Any comments on effectiveness, suggestions for sources, size, mounting, etc?
