Subject: New TD engine, first oil change, OK to go to synthetic?

What is the general concensus regarding the initial oil change? The engine in question is a new (not rebuilt) 1.9 turbodiesel. It now has Rotella dino oil, and has less than 100 miles. At the end of tomorrow, it will have 500 miles, and I will have a place to change the oil, on my way to BBTA. The question is whether it is too soon to change it to Delvac (Mobil) 1 synthetic, or should it run a while longer on Dino? Thanks for your input.

Karl
