Subject: Re: Diesel westy & wanted Westy - prefer SE Michigan

Thanks to all replied with advice on the Diesel Westy that I was looking at. The mechanical inspection turned up low compression @260PSI - should be 450'ish - there were a number of other things like ball joints too! We couldn't agree a price and turns out another guy bought it.. So, I'm still looking for a westy - up to 3K, don't mind something requiring work. Bad body rot a no-no i.e. holes. Diesel or petrol OK. I'm in Ann Arbor, S.E Michigan and would obviously prefer something pretty local - anyone got any leads?
