Alan, this must be a weak spot in the design because we had exactly the same drip at the same spot for the same reasons.

Our fix cost $0.65 Cdn. for a compression clamp.

After removing the rubber cushion, it was obvious that water and salt had worked its magic on the steel lines in the moist cavity under the rubber. After cleaning and scraping the rust it appeared that the two lines are different. The high pressure line is thick walled and the low pressure return line is not. It was the low pressure side that had the slow drip leak (with the engine running, the leak did not change). So we wrapped the low pressure line with rubber plumber's tape and put a compression clamp on it. The leak stopped.
