Please help with immediate response.  I'm traveling through michigan and
have a serious problem with lights.  I've lost headlights on my 87 Vanagon
and am now stranded in Saginaw.  I have the double high beams when I hold
the high beam switch on, but once released I have neither high beams nor low
beams.


Is there a relay on the headlights?


Any advice for trouble shooting?


I don't have my manual, just a few hand tools - I'll probably go purchase a
volt meter today.


Please respond ASAP today if you can help.  I won't have access to the
internet after today.
