Subject: What is the best way to remove rust from a fuel system
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

This isn't really a Vanagon question as it deals with my mums Rabbit, but I know that the 2WD vans suffer from this problem as well.

After having my mums Rabbit parked for the summer the runs like crap! I changed the fuel filter and brown stuff came out of it. The fuel injectors are not spraying in an even pattern and they drip casuing hesitation on acceleration. What is the best way of removing rust from the system?
