A thought: When I replaced my throttle cable this year (85 GL) I was surprised at what had collected in the protective "box" on the underside of the floor where the accelerator hinges. Access above the spare tire. Lots of pebbles, sludge, bellybutton lint etc. A little D & C (dusting and cleaning) might do the trick. Leo Meaford ON
